In June, 1987 Newhay Fisheries was bought by Sandra and Colin Forsyth
and renamed Newhay Carp Farm.
Newhay Carp Farm has come a long way since its formation when Bill
Michaels extended his interest in the rearing of cold-water fishes
from his back garden to the present site now under the ownership
of Colin and Sandra Forsyth which also includes specially created
lakes for anglers. Newhay Carp Farm has developed new techniques
over the years to induce spawning and as a result of this work is
now the foremost producer of and finglerlings in Yorkshire.
